Privacy Policy
Effective Date: May 14, 2026
Last Updated: May 14, 2026
The Short Version
Degree Sources (operated by Click Send Inc) collects a limited amount of information when you visit our pages or use our tools. We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the site, understand how it is used, and measure advertising. We work with educational referral partners and advertising platforms to keep the site free. We do not sell your personal information for money. If you are a California resident or live in another state with comprehensive privacy rights, you can opt out of sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising at /do-not-sell/. Full detail below.
Who We Are
"Degree Sources," "we," "us," and "our" refer to Click Send Inc, operating the website at degreesources.com. For privacy questions, email [email protected].
Information We Collect
Information You Provide
When you use our tools or contact us, you may give us information directly. This includes inputs to our interactive calculators (such as income range, family size, degree level, or enrollment status), your email address if you choose to receive a results report or newsletter, and any message content you send through our contact form.
Tool inputs are generally processed in your browser to produce an on-screen estimate. If you submit your email to receive results or further information, that submission is transmitted to our email service provider and recorded against your contact record.
Information Collected Automatically
When you visit the Site, we automatically collect information about your device and how you interact with our pages. This typically includes:
- Device and browser information (browser type, operating system, screen size)
- Approximate location derived from your IP address (typically country and region)
- Pages viewed, time spent, and interaction events (clicks, form steps completed)
- The referring website or search engine that sent you to us
- Marketing attribution parameters appended to URLs (such as campaign and source tags) and click identifiers passed by advertising platforms
Information From Third Parties
We may receive information about you from third parties, including advertising platforms that report on the performance of campaigns, analytics providers, and educational referral partners that confirm whether a request you submitted was completed. We may combine this information with what we already have to understand campaign performance and tool usage patterns.
How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Operate and improve the Site, our tools, and our content
- Return tool results and respond to messages and email submissions
- Understand which content and features are most useful
- Measure the performance of our marketing and advertising
- Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security issues
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Use
- Present variations of pages, features, or content to different visitors so we can understand what helps users most
Cookies and Similar Technologies
We use cookies, local storage, session storage, pixels, tags, and similar technologies. These generally fall into three categories:
- Strictly necessary. Required for the Site to work — for example, remembering your cookie consent choice or maintaining a tool session as you move through its steps.
- Analytics. Help us understand which pages and tools are used and how. We use aggregated and de-identified information from these technologies to improve the site.
- Advertising. Allow us and our advertising partners to measure and improve campaign performance, including by attributing conversions and limiting how often you see the same ad.
Visitors from the European Union, the United Kingdom, and the European Economic Area see a consent banner on first visit and can accept, reject, or customize categories. Visitors from the United States can manage advertising-related sharing through the Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information page. We honor browser-level opt-out signals such as Global Privacy Control (GPC).
You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Doing so may affect the functionality of certain tools.
Third-Party Services
We rely on a small number of third-party services to operate the Site and our marketing. These include, by category:
- Hosting, content delivery, and security providers
- Analytics providers (such as Google Analytics)
- Advertising platforms (such as Meta, Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, and TikTok) for measurement and audience-building
- Programmatic advertising networks, including Google AdSense, that display ads on the Site
- Email service providers used to deliver requested results, transactional messages, and (when you opt in) educational updates
- Educational referral partners that handle requests when you choose to connect with a school or program through a tool
Each of these providers operates under its own privacy policy. The categories above describe the kinds of partners we work with; we may add, remove, or change specific providers within these categories from time to time.
How We Share Information
We share personal information only as described in this policy:
- Service providers under contract. Vendors that help us operate the Site — hosting, analytics, email delivery, fraud prevention — receive information they need to provide their services and are bound by confidentiality and use limitations.
- Advertising and measurement partners. We share limited information with advertising platforms to measure campaign performance and reach relevant audiences. Some of this sharing may be considered a "sale" or "sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising" under California and similar state laws. You can opt out at /do-not-sell/.
- Educational referral partners. When you submit a tool result or expressly request to connect with a school or program, we transmit your submission to the relevant referral partner or school to fulfill that request.
- Legal and safety. We may disclose information when required by law, in response to valid legal process, to enforce our agreements, or to protect rights, safety, or property.
- Business transfers. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify users before personal information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
We do not sell personal information for money.
Your Choices and Rights
California Residents (CCPA / CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to:
- Know what personal information we collect, use, disclose, and share
- Request a copy of that information
- Request that we correct inaccurate information
- Request that we delete the information we hold about you
- Opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising
- Limit the use of sensitive personal information (though our collection of sensitive information is limited)
- Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights
To exercise these rights, submit a request through /do-not-sell/ or email [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request. You may use an authorized agent.
Other US State Privacy Laws
Residents of Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas, Montana, Oregon, and other states with comprehensive privacy laws have similar rights, including the right to access, correct, delete, and opt out of targeted advertising. Submit requests the same way California residents do. We will route the request to the applicable rights framework based on your state of residence.
European Union, United Kingdom, and European Economic Area
If you are in the EU, UK, or EEA, you have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the UK GDPR, including the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, port, and object to processing of your personal information. We rely on consent (for advertising cookies), legitimate interests (for site operation and measurement), and contract performance (for fulfilling requests you make) as our legal bases for processing.
The Site is operated from the United States. If you visit from outside the US, your information will be transferred to and processed in the US under appropriate safeguards. You can contact us with privacy questions at [email protected].
Universal Opt-Out Signals
We recognize browser-level opt-out signals such as Global Privacy Control (GPC). When we detect GPC, we treat the visit as an opt-out of the sale or sharing of personal information.
Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide the Site and to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, then delete or de-identify it according to our internal retention schedule. Retention periods depend on the type of information, why we collected it, and our legal obligations. You can request deletion through the methods described above.
Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, and destruction. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children's Privacy
The Site is intended for users 16 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, consistent with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact [email protected] and we will delete it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date above. Material changes will be communicated through a notice on the Site. Your continued use of the Site after a change indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
